Rosé

At Château Puynard, we call this our Cloudy Rosé, but that cloudiness is simply result of not over-handling the wine. The sparkling side of the wine comes from the carbon dioxide preserved to protect the wine and allow it to keep its unique appearance. This rosé is a small and delightful bomb of tangy fruitiness!

Blanc de Noir

This cuvée is a new approach to Cabernet Sauvignon for Château Puynard. A dry white, with a very slight tint that reminds us of it’s origins from Cabernet Sauvignon, we find notes of citrus fruits and peach, with a beautiful mouth where acidity and a little fattiness blend exceptionally well together.

The Steps

Merlot and old Cabernet Sauvignon vines, which profit from good sunlight exposure and set in clay-limestone soil, make up this top-of-the-range cuvée from Château Puynard. Vinified in stainless steel vats and then aged in French oak barrels (30% new barrels) for around 15 months, the batches are then blended and bottled after a light filtration, without fining. The result is a harmonious and complex whole, combining aromas of black fruits and toasted scents, giving volume and good structure.

Bacon Wine

A micro-cuvée inspired by a winemaking process frequently used in Australia.

It is a wine with toasted, cocoa aromas which is appealing and that reveals in the mouth a sweetness that one does not expect. With red and black fruit aromas and frequently some atypical and slightly smoky notes.
